So I ordered a something (computer parts, in this case) and it came in a United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority box. Normal enough.

I open it up and there’s another USPS priority box inside, close to the size of the actual item being shipped, and this is also wrapped in bubble wrap. Ok, nice, safe packaging.

Why use a USPS priority box inside another one? Because they are free until you pay the postage.

On the outer one only. You have used USPS resources that won’t be paid for… directly. They *will* be paid for, in rising postage costs.

So, next time postage goes up, remember that abuse of a system is a cost on that system that the customers (you) and dependents of that system ultimately end up paying for it. You are not stealing from the post office, you are stealing from all of its patrons. Including yourself.

Just a thought…

(Shame on you… also just a thought.)
